I did my Teacher Training TrinityCERT with Active Language in 2011 and it was a wonderful experience, the staff were extremely supportive and the 5 week course meant that we were able to manage the workload much better compared to other programmes that do the 4 week course which is incredibly intensive. I remained in Cadiz following the TESOL course and worked in an academy for a year. Simon and Dani at Active Language offered their career advice and made the whole experience much easier. Cadiz is also a beautiful place with lots of history and it is a fantastic place to spend the summer!

Getting TESOL certified at Active Language in Cadiz, Spain was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my professional life. Cadiz is a magical, ancient city with the best beaches in all of Spain- which are maybe a ten minute walk from the academy. What’s better than a relaxing evening swim after a day of class? The instructors who teach the classes are fun and down-to-earth people, not to mention very knowledgeable with years of experience in the TESOL world. Getting actual teaching practice and helpful feedback from instructors and classmates was one of the most invaluable parts of the course for me. After finishing I had more experience, felt more prepared and had the confidence I was lacking have when I started. I recommend this course to anyone who is interested in teaching English as a foreign language!

The Trinity Certificate in TESOL Course at Active Language was a nourishing experience that I recommend to those who would like to take their language awareness and teaching skills to another, higher level in order to progress in their TEFL career and, along the way, become qualified English teachers. Throughout the course, the support from the Active Language team was consistent both on a professional and on a personal level. Due to this, the intense training weeks were a truly rewarding and learning experience. The training centre, located in Cadiz city, combines the pace of an authentic Spanish city on the beach with friendly locals that are eager to learn English. The part I enjoyed the most, the Teaching Practice, helped me to use little but meaningful tools, resources and techniques to put myself in the student’s shoes and to teach the students, not the lesson plan. Thanks to the Active Language team for a wonderful time!

I had a amazing experience working and learning with Active Language in Cadiz. I have planned to do Young Learners Course in Spain but due to pandemic the course was entirely run online. Regardless, it was really well organized course. Over 3 weeks time and at my own pace I have learned a lot of and picked up plenty of tips how to work with learners age 5-14 years old. The material was easy accesible on their website, a mixture of webinars, talks, tips and theory. I liked the most filmed lessons with children in different countries like Costa Rica, Spain and Italy. It gave me some insight into their way of learning English and interacting with teachers. The support during the course and after was incredible! We could discuss interesting topics over forum and had meetings involving chats about our personal development and what's next. They have the knowledge and experience to guide you and help you on your personal path becoming a commited teacher. I am more confident as a teacher now and I am applying to my own teaching experience, what I have learned during the course. As the whole course was extremely useful I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a little bust of confidence and guidance in teaching world. I did my TEFL course in Cadiz back in 2007 and I found the experience to be very beneficial and rewarding. The course is run extremely well and the staff are supportive, enthusiastic and helped me gain a great deal of knowledge during our lessons and practical teaching sessions. I would highly recommend the course and the experience. Cadiz is a beautiful town and the accommodation as well as the flat mates that I had made for a wonderful time there. The teacher trainers at Active Language are second to none and it is without doubt because of their expert training that I am having a successful career in ELT. I cannot recommend studying there enough. Not only is Cadiz still one of my favourite places in the world, but I also found lifelong friends and professional contacts through my course at Active Language.
